In short

Compton sits in the center of south Los Angeles County, between the I-110 and the I-710, with the I-105 just to the north and the CA-91 to the south. It also has two Metro A Line stations, which makes it one of the easier cities on this side of the county to connect from without a car.

Getting to us from Compton

By car, take I-105 west to I-405 north, or CA-91 west to I-405 north, and exit at Venice Blvd. That is about 30 to 40 minutes in light traffic and longer at rush hour.

By transit, the A Line stops at Compton and Artesia stations. Ride north to 7th St/Metro Center, transfer to the E Line west to Culver City, then take Metro bus line 33 west along Venice Blvd. See Metro’s trip planner for times.

The Compton Courthouse

The Compton Courthouse, at 200 West Compton Blvd, is the Los Angeles Superior Court’s South Central District courthouse. If your case is there and you have been ordered to test, we provide court ordered testing with observed collection when required and chain of custody documentation when needed. Confirm any format requirements with your attorney or probation officer.

Ways to test

Testing covers common drug classes, including fentanyl, plus alcohol. A positive screen that matters can be sent to partner laboratories for confirmation. Bring a photo ID, and tell us about prescriptions up front.

Mobile testing

We can sometimes send a tester to a home or workplace for an additional fee. Coverage in Compton depends on the day and schedule, so mobile testing may be available in your area; call to ask. Other Blackburn locations on the Westside can help outside office hours.
