Drug and alcohol testing near Azusa
In short
Blackburn Monitoring's office is at 12326 Venice Blvd in Mar Vista, about 40 miles from Azusa. Azusa residents can test by appointment, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and mobile testing at home or work may be available in your area; call to ask.
Azusa sits at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains, at the mouth of San Gabriel Canyon, along the I-210 Foothill Freeway. It is one of the farther cities we serve, so we will be honest about the trip and help you plan a testing schedule that is realistic for where you live.

Getting to us from Azusa
By car, the usual route is I-210 west to I-605 south, then I-10 west toward the Westside and down to Venice Blvd. In light traffic that is roughly an hour. During weekday rush hours it can take much longer, so a random program needs a plan for that.
Azusa has two Metro A Line stations, Azusa Downtown and APU/Citrus College. The A Line runs through downtown Los Angeles to 7th St/Metro Center, where you can transfer to the E Line west to Culver City and then Metro bus line 33 along Venice Blvd. It is a long ride; check Metro’s trip planner.
Courts in the East District
Azusa is in the eastern San Gabriel Valley. The Los Angeles Superior Court’s East District includes the El Monte, Pomona and West Covina courthouses, and your case may be handled at one of them. Check your paperwork for the exact courthouse. We provide court ordered testing with chain of custody documentation for courts, probation and attorneys anywhere in the county.
Ways to test
- A single test. Book a one-time drug or alcohol test by appointment: urine, breath, EtG, or saliva on request.
- Random program. Unannounced test days, set up through our random drug testing program, for people who want results that carry weight.
- Ongoing monitoring. Regular testing over weeks or months, with one coordinator as your point of contact. Learn about ongoing monitoring.
- Court ordered. Testing for courts, probation and attorneys, with chain of custody paperwork and observed collection when the order calls for it. Read about court ordered testing.
Testing covers common drug classes, including fentanyl, plus alcohol. A positive screen that matters can be sent to partner laboratories for confirmation. Bring a photo ID, and tell us about prescriptions up front.
Mobile testing
We can sometimes send a tester to a home or workplace for an additional fee. Coverage in Azusa depends on the day and schedule, so mobile testing may be available in your area; call to ask. Other Blackburn locations on the Westside can help outside office hours.
Who we help in Azusa
Parents with students in the Azusa Unified School District, or a young adult at nearby Citrus College, sometimes want structure without turning home into a checkpoint. A random program with an outside coordinator can help. We also work with people on probation or in diversion, licensed professionals, and clinicians who want objective results between sessions.
More support
From Azusa at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains, the Westside can feel a world away, yet the next step after a test can start with one call. If it shows that someone needs more, you do not have to start over with strangers. See more support beyond testing.

Common questions
Is the A Line a realistic way to get from Azusa to your office?
It works, but it is long: A Line to 7th St/Metro Center, E Line to Culver City, then bus line 33 west. Driving is usually faster, or ask whether mobile testing may be available.
Which courthouse handles cases from Azusa?
Azusa is in the area covered by the Superior Court's East District, which includes El Monte, Pomona and West Covina. Your paperwork names the courthouse.
Can a random program work if I live as far out as Azusa?
Often yes. We set frequency case by case and can talk through timing, traffic and whether mobile testing may be available for you.
Can my Citrus College student test on a school break?
Yes, by appointment at our Mar Vista office during break periods, or ask whether mobile testing may be available near home.
