In short

Cerritos is a planned suburban city in southeast Los Angeles County, bordered by the I-605 and crossed by the CA-91, right next to the Orange County line. It is a fair drive to the Westside, and most Cerritos clients either come in on a set schedule or ask about mobile testing.

Getting to us from Cerritos
From Cerritos, our office is about 25 to 30 miles away. A common route is the I-605 north to the I-105 west, then the I-405 north to the Venice Blvd exit. Outside rush hour, plan on roughly 45 minutes to an hour; the 405 can add much more at peak times.
Cerritos has no rail station of its own. The Metro C Line’s Norwalk station, at the east end of the line along the I-105, is the closest Metro rail stop. From there the trip west involves transfers, so check Metro’s trip planner before you go.
Cerritos schools and families
Cerritos students attend schools in the ABC Unified School District, and Cerritos College sits just over the line in Norwalk. Parents of teens and young adults often reach out after a scare. Testing gives you facts, not suspicion, and a coordinator can help your family decide what comes next. Read our guide should I drug test my teen.
Testing options for Cerritos clients
- One-time tests. A single drug or alcohol test by appointment, when you need an answer now.
- Random testing program. An electronic notice tells you when to test, so results mean something. See our random drug testing program.
- Ongoing monitoring. A schedule set case by case with a monitoring coordinator who knows you. Learn about drug and alcohol monitoring.
- Court ordered testing. Testing for courts, probation, attorneys and diversion, with chain of custody documentation when needed.
Tests include a 12 panel urine drug test that screens for common substances such as opioids, stimulants, benzodiazepines and cannabis, testing for fentanyl, a breathalyzer, an EtG alcohol test and saliva testing on request. Bring a photo ID to your first visit. Collection is observed when a court or program requires it, and positives that will be acted on go to partner laboratories for confirmation. See all services.
Court ordered testing for Cerritos cases
Cerritos is in the Superior Court’s Southeast District, and the Bellflower Courthouse lists Cerritos among the cities it serves. Your case may still be assigned elsewhere, so check your paperwork. If a court, probation officer or attorney requires testing, we provide court ordered testing with chain of custody documentation when needed.
A quick check saves trouble later: before testing for a Cerritos case, ask your attorney or probation officer whether a specific vendor or format is required. More on court ordered drug testing.
Mobile testing in Cerritos
If the 405 makes a regular trip impractical, ask about testing at your home or workplace. Mobile testing at home or work is offered for an additional fee, and mobile testing may be available in your area; call to ask. Office testing runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, by appointment only, and outside those hours testing can be arranged at other Blackburn locations on the Westside.
Who we help in Cerritos
We help Cerritos families of adults and teens, people in recovery who want structure, licensed professionals under monitoring, clinicians who want objective results between sessions, and non DOT employers with return to work agreements.
Clinicians and treatment programs can also refer clients, and with written consent we send results quickly to the people you choose and no one else. Nearby, we also serve Artesia and Norwalk; see every area we serve.
Need more than testing?
For Cerritos families, a test result is the start of a conversation about what support looks like. When a result or a hard week shows that more help is needed, Blackburn can connect you to it.

Common questions
What is the closest Metro station to Cerritos?
The Metro C Line's Norwalk station is the closest Metro rail stop. Getting from there to Mar Vista takes transfers, so plan with Metro's trip planner.
Which courthouse lists Cerritos in its service area?
The Bellflower Courthouse in the Southeast District. Check your paperwork, since a case can be assigned to a different courthouse.
Can a Cerritos parent get a teen's results?
For a minor, parents are usually the ones arranging and receiving results. Older teens and adult children should agree to testing, and adults sign a written release.
Should Cerritos clients drive the 605 or the 110 to reach you?
Most take the I-605 north to the I-105 west and the I-405 north. Traffic decides the best route on a given day, so allow extra time.
